We aim to open submissions for G-Cloud 7 (G7) at the end of August. We’ve made several improvements to the G-Cloud submissions process. Following user feedback on G-Cloud 6 (G6), we’ve addressed the following aspects to make the process more user-friendly in time for G7.
Single system application
On the G6 framework suppliers applied and submitted their services via 2 separate systems. We’ll be simplifying this process. For G7, supplier submissions will go through a single system on the Digital Marketplace.
Clarification questions
We’ll continue to notify registered suppliers of updates to clarification questions for G7. The questions will be accessible from the G7 area of the supplier dashboard.
Guidance in plain English
We’re currently reviewing the language we use to see if we can simplify it. For G7 we’ll use plain English in the security assurance questions as well as in our guidance around having a compliant submission. We’ll provide explanatory notes to guide suppliers through these sections and ensure that we accurately represent procurement regulations.
Supplier information
When suppliers submit their services for G7, we’ll ask for the same information we did during the G6 submission. This will create uniformity in supplier information, filtering options and how published services are presented on the Digital Marketplace.
Next steps
Suppliers who are new to G-Cloud will need to create a supplier account on the Digital Marketplace before they can apply to G-Cloud 7.
Please refer to our suppliers’ guide for more information. We’ll be providing more information and guidance on the blog when G-Cloud 7 opens.
