G-Cloud Pan Government Accreditation update

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: Accreditation, G-Cloud

Due to high demand from G-Cloud 3 and G-Cloud 4, the G-Cloud team was facing a backlog of Pan Government Accreditation applications and accreditation queries.

The newly formed G-Cloud security and accreditation team has been working hard on this and I’m pleased to report that the backlog has been cleared.

We’ve also improved the way in which accreditation is dealt with through closer coordination with CESG, government buyers and G-Cloud suppliers. As part of the changes, a tool was introduced to track: accreditation submissions, submission progress with the PGA and re-accreditations. This will give us a snapshot at any point in time of the security status of all G-Cloud accredited services.

Additional information will soon be published on topics such as the changes to the government security classifications and their impact on G-Cloud.
