At the end of the month, Digital Marketplace will be the place to buy G-Cloud services. This means that we will be switching off CloudStore.
Why we are building Digital Marketplace
As part of transforming the way the public sector buys digital and tech services, we are developing a clearer, simpler and faster tool to help support the process. The new Digital Marketplace aims to become the single place for all of government to buy what it needs to design, build and support its digital services. Initially this will replace CloudStore as the new home for G-Cloud services and in the new year will also be the home for the Digital Services framework.
What this mean for buyers
Buyers will soon be able to use Digital Marketplace to buy G-Cloud services and we will be posting more information shortly.
What this mean for suppliers
Suppliers should have already received emails regarding the transition to Digital Marketplace. If you have not yet done so, please follow the instructions in these emails to ensure your account is set up correctly.
If you are a new supplier you will need to wait for the next opportunity to submit your services to the framework. G-Cloud 6 is expected to open for submissions in October.
All suppliers should sign up to to Crown Commercial Service’s eSourcing Suite to be kept updated on future opportunities and keep an eye on the blog for more details.
