G-Cloud

Currently G-Cloud iii & 4 are live and there are 1,186 suppliers and over 13,000 services (84% of suppliers are SMEs). Total sales through CloudStore so far (Feb 2014) are £124M (58% to SMEs).

CloudStore is an online marketplace that allows anyone in public sector organisations to buy off the shelf cloud-based services on a pay as you go basis, via the G-Cloud framework. It covers infrastructure, platform, software and support services. The 5th framework will go live in May just after G-Cloud iii ends.

Digital Services framework

The Digital Services framework launched on 11 Nov with 183 suppliers. 84% of these are SMEs and a third of these are completely new to government. The Digital Services Store, which will launch this month, will aim to allow buyers to find suppliers for individual capabilities, who work in an agile way, to join their existing digital teams, or create entire digital teams to help them design and build public services that are digital by default and focused on user needs. The total spend for the framework is expected to be £40M over the next nine months.
